New rims! Thanks you PeeWee and Heefer :-)

We went to another car show yesterday, and this time I brought my bike along to match! :-)

Another road trip down, and this time she got to stop at a cruise in along the way!

The sun finally came out today so I could get a nice picture of the finished paint.

The power came back on, and now she's taped up and in the booth getting painted!

A few hours in and the power goes out. The city is redoing the power poles outside to make way for widening the road. We were able to finish what wasn't sanded by hand. Now we must wait until they are finished to blow it off, tape her up, and finally paint!

Today is the day for paint. We begin by sanding down the car one last time.

Last night we had dinner with a good friend who gave Michael an oouga horn :-)

This evening there was a little more bodywork to do, then we taped her up and sprayed primer where we sanded down.

After riding around in  the primer job for about a week, it's time to start fine tuning some of the body work.

Wheels!

So today Michael and Brandon decided to paint the wheels. Here's how it went:

Before:

First we sanded and taped them up.

Then we wrapped them in paper and wiped them down.

Then came the paint!

And then the installation. 

Done! (for now)

We pulled off the tape and put the hood scoop back on. She is pretty in pink, well more like marvelous in magenta!

Time to Prime!

First, Brandon put some green primer over the spots of bare metal.

Then he mixed up some special tinted primer.

And then he sprayed the car.

Fillin' in Some Holes

Last night we taped her up, and today we are doing a little minor bodywork before throwing some primer on her.

On July 25, 2013 we began sanding away to see what was underneath the multiple layers of paint. This is what she looks like naked.

On the Road Again!

July 19-21, 2013 we hopped in for her second trip to see my Mamma. The new rear end held up great, and this time Mamma even got to take a ride in her!

Rear End Replacement

On the weekend of July 13-14, 2013 we had to take a venture to the scrap yard to pull a rear end out of a '92 Ranger. After a few modifications (thanks to some help from our buddy Heath) and a whole lot of sweat, she was ready to go again.

First Road Trip

July 3-6, 2013 she proved her road worthiness on a 400 mile trip to the mother-in-law's and back!

New Car!

On June 18, 2013 Michael acquired this 1979 Ford Pinto. It needed a little love, and it will get it!
